[Backhaul Interface Status Alarm] Numerous alarms related to BS connection following NFR497
Thingpark 5.1 brings a new feature NFR497 (also traced as RDTP-2262) in order to give more information on LRR "connectivity lost".
The Network Manager in Thingpark GUI has a "connectivity lost" alarm that does not distinguish between lost ethernet connectivity and lost mobile interface (2G/3G/4G) connectivity.
The new feature allows to see which interface is down through an alarm, in order not to wait until both interfaces are down.
Side effect:
Currently, we are experiencing a side effect of this feature, Thingpark platform is generating a lot of alarms related to BS connection. Any LRR that is only connected through one interface generates alarms on the other interface, even if it's not used.
Example of alarm generated:
Workaround:
As a workaround we will lower the alarm priority while the investigation continues on the issue.
We are also considering checking how the feature can be deactivated whitout any other side effects.
